Mount Hutt Motels

On 15th April 2026, Annette and Jeremy became the new owner/operators of the Mt Hutt Motels in Methven. Even though we have only had the Motels a short period of time, we intend to carry on with the philosophy of the previous owners which has been to pride themselves on the friendly Kiwi hospitality they have extended to their guests during their stay. The Motels are well situated just a short walk into the town centre making it the perfect location for the Corporate or Leisure Traveller and the perfect New Zealand snow ski holiday Motel. We are the closest Motel to the Opuke Hot Pools, turn left out of our driveway and it is a very short stroll down the tree lined path to the Hot Pools.

We offer 10 units in total, 5 studios and three 2-bedroom apartments tastefully decorated and well-equipped with kitchens and bathrooms. Each has an outdoor setting which looks onto established trees, gardens and lawn area. We have a spacious outdoor BBQ area available to our guests.

Mount Hutt Motels are set back off the main road providing you with a quiet and peaceful stay. One of the first things we have upgraded after taking over the ownership of the Motels is strengthening the free unlimited WIFI available for guests. We are working very hard on upgrading the units, we have just completed painting the interior of 3 units and have new curtains and blinds ordered along with new 50 inch smart televisions which we hope to have installed by end of July. We are currently installing new bathroom heaters to all the units for our guests warmth and comfort.
