Katikati Motel

"Come Rest with Us", you will find we are family and pet friendly motel with 6 family size units and 2 studio units on the ground floor. All family units are one bedroom and one lounge apartment, which are 44 square meters, sunny, and affordable.Studio units have one queen size bed with kitchen or kitchenette. We offer unlimited wifi internet access and freeview channels on 32" flat screen TV. There are plenty of space for parking and you can park just in front of your unit.

We are located on the corner of State Highway 2 and Fairview Road. From Tauranga we are 30 minutes north and on the right one block past Countdown Supermarket, if you are coming from Auckland and Waihi we are on the left as you pass through the town centre there is Diggelmann Park with a replica of a Kauri Dam then we are on the left corner.

Katikati is also known as the Mural Town of New Zealand, with over 50 murals around town, the first three were done in 1991 and they have added to the town and the atmosphere ever since, depicting the history of the town and its people in a beautiful sharing way.

Katikati is the gateway to the "Bay of Plenty" and only 2 hours from Auckland or Taupo, 90 minutes from Hamilton and Rotorua. Katikati is a wonderful place to stop and rest then visit many of the north Islands attractions. Katikati is on a plateau approximately 13km or 20 miles in size, boarded on the east side by the Tauranga Harbour and on the west by the Kaimai-Mamaku Ranges.

Avocado's, kiwifruit, nashi pears, citrus fruit, flowers and vegetables are all grown in abundance here and you can often pick our own or visit the farmers market on a Friday.
