Drifter Christchurch is located in Christchurch City Central, only 30-seconds walk from the main bus station, Christchurch Bus Interchange.
To get to Drifter from Christchurch Airport:
Bus services:
Take bus number 3 – starts at 6.37am and leaves every 30 mins until 11.37pm. Takes 30 mins approximately to the central bus exchange – corner of Lichfield and Colombo streets. Drifter is a 1 minute walk from the bus exchange.
Buses depart from the northern end of International Arrivals, next to the Novotel hotel (exit through Door 9). Tickets can be purchased directly from the driver.
Uber:
From the Uber pick up zone (by the Novotel) an uber is approximately 20 minutes to Drifter. $40-$60 approximately depending on time of day.
Taxi:
Pick up from Taxi zone of airport (by international arrivals) approximately 20 minutes to Drifter. Prices vary – recommend asking for an estimated cost before starting the journey.
Super Shuttle bus:
Multi passenger van that picks you up from outside door 7 of the airport. Share the cost with others into the city, will drop you at the exact address but dropping other passengers off at their chosen destinations along the way too. Available 24/7, can prebook. Approximately $25.
Cancellation Policy
Drifter Christchurch Terms & Conditions:
- Cancellation Policy: 24-hrs before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to the full cost of your booking
- A valid ID and credit card under your name must be presented on check-in.
- Check-in from 2pm
- Check-out by 11am
- The property may charge your card prior to arrival if the reservation is not prepaid. Cash is not accepted at this property.
- 2% surcharge applies on all EFTPOS and credit card transactions.

- Guests under the age of 18 are only permitted if accompanied by an adult in a private room
- While we make the greatest effort to place all guests of a group booking into the same room, this is not always possible. To avoid having a group split up, book well in advance, or reach out to us via email to confirm. - We cannot guarantee the same room for the duration of your stay, as existing bookings may make this impossible.
- No refund policy: Payments made towards all bookings may only be reimbursed in the form of booking credit for any nights cancelled (within cancellation policy).
