From CHRISTCHURCH, take Highway 73 (Arthurs Pass) to Darfield.
At the church turn left towards Mt Hutt. Continue on SH 72 (Inland Scenic Route) through
Glentunnel, over the Selwyn River one-way bridge. Travel 9 kms until you get to The Monument at
the top of the hill. Follow the Gunyah signs from here: Turn left, towards Hororata, then
immediately right into Sleemans Road, down the hill and across the Hororata River. We are on the
left; on the rise, just after the gravel road starts.

From the SOUTH and METHVEN: take SH 72 (Inland Scenic Route) northbound, through the Rakaia
Gorge, go past Windwhistle Garage and School, travel 9 km until you see the large blue Gunyah sign.
At the intersection just before The Monument on the rise, turn right towards Hororata, then
immediately right into Sleemans Road, down the hill and across the Hororata River. We are on the
left; on the rise, just after the gravel road starts.

From the WEST: take SH73 and just after Sheffield turn right into SH72 ( Inland Scenic Route)
southbound. Continue through Glentunnel, over the Selwyn River one-way bridge. Travel 9 kms until
you get to The Monument at the top of the hill. Follow the Gunyah signs from here: Turn left,
towards Hororata, then immediately right into Sleemans Road, down the hill and across the
Hororata River. We are on the left; on the rise, just after the gravel road starts.
