Explore Tauranga and Mount Maunganui on an E-bike!
Rent an ebike from Coastal Riders and spend as little as an hour or as long as a day exploring all that Mount Maunganui and Tauranga surrounds have to offer. Within a short pedal from our Electrify.nz store you will find an easy 6 kilometer return coastal pathway showcasing our stunning Mount Maunganui beaches, cafes, and surf. If you want to explore further afield, ride along the dedicated bike lanes over the Harbour Bridge to Tauranga city. Explore the harbourfront cafes, restaurants, art galleries and boutique stores. Have access to easy biking tracks around the Waikareao Estuary, along the Kulim Park waterfront or explore culturally significant Maori and European Settler sites of our local Tauranga history.

Bikes in Mount Maunganui are located at our Electrify.nz store which is an easy 5 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal at 301 Maunganui Road.
Bikes in Tauranga are located at the Tauranga Visitor Information Centre (i-Site) at 1 Devonport Road.
Cancellation Policy

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to rent and ride our e-bikes.
Rental riders under 18 years of age must have this form signed by their parent or legal guardian who accepts all responsibility and liability on behalf of the rider.
NZ/ International Driver's License or other photo ID to be left with Electrify.nz Tauranga/Tauranga i-Site Visitor Centre for the duration of the ride.
The rental rider acknowledges and agrees that they will be the only person who rides the e-bike.
The rental rider understands and accepts all risks involved in riding an ebike and takes full responsibility for their own safety.
The rental rider acknowledges and agrees that by its very nature cycling has inherent risks and accepts the increased dangers and risks associated with their participation in the activity that may lead to their injury, death or property loss and releases Electrify.nz Tauranga and the Tauranga i-Site Visitor Centre of its liabilities to the extent permitted by law.
The rental rider understands that it is NZ law to wear a cycle helmet whilst cycling in New Zealand.
The rental rider must comply with all New Zealand traffic laws including but not limited to; Wearing a helmet when riding the e-bike; Riding on the left side of the road or on a cycle-way; Obeying all road signs and traffic signals; having blood alcohol lower than 50mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
Electrify.nz Tauranga and the Tauranga i-Site Visitor Centre staff may refuse hire if in our sole opinion the test rider cannot control the e-bike.
The rental rider plus any carry-on luggage must not exceed 120kg per e-bike.
The rental rider accepts liability for damage to or loss of or repair of the e-bike or of other provided equipment.
Electrify.nz Tauranga and the Tauranga i-Site Visitor Centre cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or theft of the rider’s personal property while riding the ebike.
The rental rider agrees not to take the e-bike off formed cycle ways and paved roads. If evidence of off-road cycling use is found, the rental rider may be liable for a cleaning charge of NZ$80.
The rental rider agrees not to go into water deeper than 7cm, or just above the ground level tyre rim.
The rental rider agrees not to ride the e-bike in any saltwater or sand whatsoever.
The rental rider will ensure the e-bike is not left unattended or unsecured at any time.
Loss or irreparable damage of the e-bike or of other provided equipment will incur a charge of the current replacement Recommended Retail Price to the rental rider.
The rental rider will return the e-bike at the agreed time.
There will be no refunds given for a change of mind or if the rider decides to return the bike earlier than the agreed return time.
The rental rider has been briefed regarding Health & Safety and the functions of the e-bike by our authorised staff.
The rental rider agrees to notify the Tauranga i-Site Visitor Centre Staff immediately of any accident, incident, theft or damage. If holding the e-bike overnight, the rental rider will ensure it is kept in a safe, secure location.
